Restaurant Quinoa
📍 Falset
Quinoa is a central Falset restaurant committed to proximity and organic produce from local farmers: farmhouse eggs, Siurana oil, potatoes from Prades, bomba rice from the Ebre delta and local cheeses. It is one of the few restaurants in the Tarragona province holding the Km 0 distinction (created by Slow Food Catalunya).
The kitchen is run by chef Matías Fernández, trained in pastry at Barcelona's Gremi Provincial de Pastisseria and in cooking at the Terra d'Escudella school, with stints at restaurants such as Can Gaig, Can Bosch, El Racó d'en Freixa and Can Bosch in Cambrils. The menu combines a weekday set menu (around €17, wine included) and a weekend set menu (around €29), plus a tasting menu from about €50 that needs to be booked a few days ahead.
The restaurant also offers tapas and sharing plates for more informal service, a wine list of nearly 50 references — exclusively from Priorat and Montsant — at retail prices, and sells local oils, salts, wines, cavas and chocolates on site. It opens for lunch Monday to Sunday (except Tuesday) and also for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.
