Practical information
The Priorat sits in the province of Tarragona, a little over an hour’s drive from Tarragona and about two hours from Barcelona. The regional capital is Falset, well connected by the AP-7 and N-420, with a train station on the Barcelona–Reus–Casp line.
Spring and autumn are the best times: mild weather, budding vines or the harvest. September is harvest season and spring brings the Falset Wine Fair. Summers are hot and winter nights are cold up in the mountains.
