Travel Priorat is a small local team, based at the Mas Pontfumat farmhouse in Marçà, that arranges private single-day and multi-day wine tours tailored to the visitor's interests. The company was founded by Rachel Ritchie, an English languages graduate who settled in the region and worked as a freelance wine guide and translator before starting the business; after her death in 2016, her husband Gerard Amorós has carried on her legacy.
Visits take in family wineries and larger estates of DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant, with meetings with owners and winemakers, and can be combined with the Scala Dei charterhouse, olive-oil mills and local-food tastings such as cheese and charcuterie. The guiding team, WSET Level 3 certified, speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, Polish and German. Booked by prior enquiry by phone or email.
