Celler Dosterras was founded in 2013 in Marçà, within DO Montsant, when Fernando Grajales, then just 26 years old, saw the area's potential and acquired old vineyards in the district. In 2019 the winery opened new facilities, a step the team considers a key milestone. Winemaking today is led by Noemí Javierre, working alongside Grajales.
The winery grows mainly garnatxa, carinyena, syrah and cabernet sauvignon, on the clay and llicorella soils typical of Montsant. Grapes are hand-harvested with careful selection, gently pressed by gravity, and fermented spontaneously by variety and plot; aging combines stainless-steel tanks and oak barrels of varying sizes and origins, chosen to match each wine's profile. Minimal intervention and respect for the land's rhythms run through the whole approach.
The range includes Vermell, Blanc and Blanc de Blancs as entry wines, alongside higher-end bottlings such as Garnatxa, Finca Aiguasals, Carpathia and Naixement — the latter made from 75-90 year old garnatxa negra and carinyena vines, aged 24 months in French oak and 5 years in bottle, with a production of under a thousand bottles. The labels are illustrated by Brazilian artist Eduardo Recife. The winery offers guided tastings by appointment and runs an event space called Wine Garden in a 19th-century farmhouse, plus a wine bar with grill (Fusta i Foc).
