Lo Safreig is a family restaurant on the square in el Molar, set in a former grocery store, run by sisters Júlia and Marina Escoda. They cook honest, seasonal food —homemade croquettes, prawn carpaccio, risotto, grilled rabbit, fricandó (veal stew)— meant for sharing, and serve paella on Thursdays.
The space keeps the feel of the old shop: besides the dining room (seating for around twenty-five to twenty-eight) and an outdoor terrace when weather allows, there's a small corner selling local fruit, vegetables and other produce. Open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays.
