Fonda Cal Quel

Fonda Cal Quel is a traditional village inn in Bellmunt del Priorat run by Teresa, the owner and cook, in a small, family-style dining room. The cooking is grandmother-style home cooking —rabbit, cannelloni, escudella— and the menu is served course by course: a starter, a first course, and a choice of several mains, followed by dessert with dried fruit, homemade cake and moscatel wine.
It offers a weekday menu (roughly €13-16, including wine and coffee) and a somewhat more elaborate weekend and holiday menu (roughly €20). It is usually closed during December; since the dining room is small, it's advisable to call ahead to confirm a table.
