Rotllan Torra
📍 Torroja del Priorat
Rotllan Torra is a family winery founded in 1984 in Torroja del Priorat, housed in a 17th-century building that, according to tradition, was originally designed as a bodega by Carthusian monks from Scala Dei. The winery works with old vines, some over 70 years old, and produces wines under both the DOQ Priorat and DO Montsant appellations.
Its labels include the wines Tirant and Balandra, alongside a house Crianza and Reserva, aged in French and American oak barrels. The winery describes its style as a combination of tradition and passion, with limited, artisanal production aimed at respecting the terroir and the legacy of several generations of winegrowers.
Rotllan Torra offers guided visits combining a tour of the facilities, an introduction to the history of the Priorat region, and a wine tasting designed to help visitors learn to identify their own preferences - an activity that, according to the winery, began as a way to host distributors and later opened up to the general public.
