Celler Vermunver is a small family winery in Marçà, at the heart of DO Montsant, founded in 2004 by members of the Vernet-Muntané family with the aim of producing their own wine. The winery farms around 23 hectares of vineyard spread across plots with varying orientations and slightly calcareous soils, notably including old-vine Grenache and Carignan aged between 70 and 90 years, some planted by the current owners' parents and grandparents.
The winery's approach centers on personally overseeing every stage of the process, in the vineyard and in the cellar alike, keeping a small-scale, hands-on operation. Besides producing and directly selling wine, the family offers guided tours of the estate with tastings, and runs the rural guesthouse Ca la Viola, where guests can also take part in farm activities.
Vermunver sells directly from the winery and takes part in regional fairs, including the Falset Wine Fair, the Reus Viu el Vi fair, and the Móra la Nova fair, as well as the weekly market in Santa Oliva.
