Celler Va de Bòlid
📍 Torroja del Priorat
Va de Bòlid is the personal project of Cristian Francès Bretón, a family winery in Torroja del Priorat (Carrer Hospital, 14) working on a very small scale: around 3 hectares of vineyard yielding roughly 4,000 bottles a year. That harvest is turned into as many as eight different wines, including the aged red, Va de Bòlid, that gives the winery its name, produced under the DOQ Priorat appellation.
The winery describes itself as an individual expression of the "new Priorat": very short, hand-crafted production runs where artisanal care is valued over volume. It is a one-person project, closer to precision agriculture than industrial output.
Va de Bòlid opens for guided visits and tastings by appointment: a roughly two-and-a-half-hour experience combining a vineyard walk with a wine tasting, for groups of 4 to 12, at about 20 euros per person, offered in Catalan, Spanish, English and French (advance booking required). Its wines can also be found through the Vins Priorat i Montsant online platform.
