Celler Cairats was founded in 2010 in Darmós, within DO Montsant, after its founders spent more than a decade researching winemaking across different designation-of-origin regions. In the process they recovered old vineyards of native grape varieties and acquired a historic winery building dating from 1900.
The project favors quality over quantity, with artisanal production and vineyards certified organic by CCPAE. It combines modern winemaking technology with respect for traditional practices, aiming to make wines that express the character of the territory.
The range includes the Cairats Frescal, Antologia, Fragant, Origen and Selecció wines, as well as a single-variety collection featuring Samsó, Merlot and Viognier. Cellar visits are by prior appointment.
