Lo Refugi, run by Montsant Natura, occupies a former four-storey farmhouse in the village of Cornudella de Montsant, the gateway to the Serra de Montsant Natural Park. It has 7 rooms -Siuranella, Albarca, Gritella, Mussara, Montsant, Siurana and Obaga- with capacities ranging from 2 to 10 people, making it especially suited to groups, climbers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The accommodation offers free wifi, heating, a shared kitchen, bike parking and a bike-repair workshop, and up-to-date information on climbing routes, hiking and mountain-biking trails. Next door is the LoRefugi GastroBar, serving seasonal market cuisine and a wide selection of Priorat wines; the property is marketed as the first Starlight-certified accommodation in the Montsant Natural Park. From here it is easy to reach the climbing routes of Siurana and Margalef and the hiking trails of the massif.
Stays start at around €18/night per person, with add-ons such as a set-menu dinner or bed-linen and towel rental.
