Calaix de Sastre is a small wine bar on the arcaded Plaça de la Quartera in Falset's old town, with a terrace under the porticoes. It offers over 80 wines by the glass from DOQ Priorat, DO Montsant and beyond, plus vermouth, beers and homemade tapas made with local produce. It is a favourite spot for the Falset vermouth ritual.
The premises occupy the former workshop where, across generations, the current owner's grandfather and father worked as tailors ('sastre' in Catalan) — which gives the business its name — and the wine bar has kept the same close, attentive approach to the work.
