From the Casa del Parc, in la Morera de Montsant, hikers climb to the Montsant plateau via one of the historic "graus", the steep gully passes crossing the escarpment: Carrasclet, Barrots, Agnet, Espinós or Grallera. A very popular circular hike ascends the Grau dels Barrots and descends the Grau de l'Agnet, linking with the GR-174 at the top. The route is moderate-to-hard, with exposed sections and iron rungs, and passes near the Balcó del Priorat; it requires preparation and careful navigation.
This graus route is not among the itineraries officially waymarked and promoted by the Natural Park (which currently lists other routes, such as Clot del Cirer or Bosc de Bonrepòs), but rather a local hiking classic documented mainly by the hiking community; for up-to-date information, maps or queries, the Park office at the Casa del Parc itself can be contacted.
