Cellers Joan d'Anguera is a family-run winery in Darmós (Tivissa), within DO Montsant, whose roots go back to 1820, when Joan Anguera, a younger son of Can Anguera, set out on his own and received from the family three estates — l'Argatà, la Planella and el Bugader — which gave rise to the farmhouse popularly known as "Ca Joan d'Anguera." Through the 19th and 20th centuries the family expanded its holdings (notably acquiring Mas de Pedret) and focused chiefly on grape-growing, with Garnacha and Cariñena as the dominant varieties, selling wine in bulk to England and France. In 1984 Josep Anguera began estate-bottling under the family's own label, and since 2008 the current generation, Josep and Joan Anguera Pons (an agronomist and an oenologist), has steered the winery toward organic and biodynamic farming, holding CCPAE and Demeter certification since 2012.
The vineyards cover roughly 40 hectares across four estates — Finca l'Argatà (20 ha), Mas de Pedret (12 ha), el Tancat (4 ha) and la Planella (4 ha) — on limestone, sandy and quaternary alluvial soils, under a Mediterranean climate with continental influence. Farming is dry-farmed, with a significant share of old vines. Its wines include Planella, Altaroses, Finca l'Argatà, Vinya de la Glòria and L'Hostal.
