Celler Noguerals is built around Mas de l'Abella, a farm that the Alzamora family bought in 1999 after already making wine for some years under the name "Abellars". In 2008 they went a step further, converting an old straw loft on the same property into the winery itself, so the whole process - from vine to bottle - takes place on the same estate.
The estate's vineyards grow grenache, cabernet sauvignon and syrah, the varieties used to make "Abellars", a wine intended to express the character of the terroir and the spirit of the people who work it.
The winery is run by Ramon Alzamora as owner and Ramon Valls as winemaker, and visits are by prior reservation. According to the DOQ Priorat winery register, it is based in La Morera de Montsant.
