Ricard Fernández is a mid-mountain guide, a geologist by training (University of Barcelona) and a UIMLA-accredited mid-mountain sports technician; he is a member of the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides (AEGM) and is listed in the Priorat active-tourism directory as a professional for climbing and hiking activities.
He guides visitors around the Siurana and Margalef climbing sectors and along the Montsant range trails, where he is recognised as a "Bon Coneixedor" (expert local guide) of the Natural Park for his landscape- and heritage-interpretation approach. He operates as Guies de Muntanya-Ricard Fernández (GdM), based in El Morell, and has been an adherent business of the Priorat's European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (CETS) since 2023.
