Celler La Placeta is a family project born in 2014, when Mercè and Quim decided to root their lives in their hometown of els Guiamets, in the Baix Priorat area within DO Montsant. They farm family-owned vineyards respectfully with the landscape, at around 200 meters of elevation and surrounded by varied soil types.
Unlike most wineries in an area best known for its reds, La Placeta produces mainly white wine, a choice that preserves the winemaking memory of els Guiamets. Production is small-scale and artisanal, with careful attention paid to every detail.
The winery favors close, personal wine tourism and sustainable growth, offering visits by appointment through DO Montsant's wine-tourism guide.
