Celler Cal Bessó, in els Guiamets (DO Montsant), traces its origin to the Castellví family. Raimon and Carmen Castellví Figuerola, who had already founded Celler del Encastell in Porrera (DOQ Priorat) in 1999, teamed up with Jaume Vallès, a local owner of organic vineyards, to convert a traditional house in the village and begin making wine under the D.O. Montsant from 2015 onward. The wines' names honor Josep Castellví Prat, a family ancestor who tended thousands of cherry trees in the same area, which also gave the winery its name.

Cal Bessó farms seven hectares of certified organic vineyard (EU and CCPAE) to produce four wines: Lo Cirerer, a red blend of garnatxa, garnatxa peluda, carinyena, merlot and syrah; La Prunera, a red from selected garnatxa peluda and carinyena; Coret, a white made from garnatxa blanca fermented in 500-litre barrels; and Elvira, a white from old-vine garnatxa blanca aged six months in new acacia barrels.

The winery hosts its own tastings and events, and its wines have been featured in the Guía Peñín guide to Spanish wines 2024.
