Ainat
📍 la Morera de Montsant
Ainat (also documented as "Ainat-vinum") is a small family winery project located in la Morera de Montsant, within DOQ Priorat. The name of its flagship wine, Clot del Cirer, comes from a natural spot on the family's land described as a small crater set amid an almost lunar landscape; the wine is a blend of garnacha (40%), cabernet sauvignon (20%) and syrah (40%).
No website or social media presence for the winery itself could be found, nor does it appear identifiably in the DOQ Priorat regulatory council's own search. The only detailed reference located is a 2011 wine blog review of the 2004 vintage of Clot del Cirer -bought at the village's own grocery shop- which describes an intense blood-and-earth color, aromas of ripe fruit and leather, and a palate with well-integrated alcoholic strength. Whether the project is still active today is unknown.
