Restaurant La Morera

Restaurant La Morera is a family business in la Morera de Montsant, a village of just over a hundred inhabitants at the heart of Priorat. It is run by Txus Sánchez, who works alongside her husband, children and other family members, and who herself serves as waitress and sommelier. The dining room, spread over two levels with stone walls and brick arches, is cosy and seats around fifty diners.

The seasonal menu recovers local recipes with a modern touch: crestes de la figuera (potato and roast meat turnovers), truita amb suc, and beef cheek in Priorat red wine, considered the house's signature dish. The wine list favours local producers through the 'Vins en Família' project, which renews its selection every quarter and has received a wine-tourism recognition.

Open Thursday to Sunday for lunch, with a fixed menu at 35 € (VAT and a glass of wine included); groups can book on Wednesdays. No dinner service, and closed from 1 to 8 January and on 25-26 December. Gluten-free options and a children's menu are available.
